End of the World?

There's this big thing right now, with the idea that the end of the world will be at the end of next year.  How I feel in general on any given day keeps changing my views on the subject.

Some days I feel rather low, and I start looking forward to the world ending.  Then I feel even lower, and start thinking along the lines of the end of the world isn't gonna happen, that I won't get out of my wallowing so easily as that.

Then there's days like today.  I'm in a good mood, I have a fair humour about me today.  And I'm on the other end of the spectrum of it ain't gonna happen.  The end of the world has been predicted countless times by every religion out there, and obviously, none have come to pass.  Even this whole Mayan calendar thing, I don't think it was meant to fortell the end of the world.  I mean, just because your kitchen calendar ends on December 31st (of whatever current year) doesn't mean the world ends that day, either...

I have one prediction which ties into the whole world ending next year.  If it doesn't end, I predict a big population boom in mid to late 2013.
